Engin Guneysu was born on 1981 in Samsun. 

He started his professional career with Cena Advertising Agency as the photography editor in Izmir in 2004. 
In 2004, his works were published in "Bodrum'un Kalbi" journal and Cesme guide book. 
In 2006 his works were displayed at the 1. Art Street Photography Exhibition. 

In 2006 and 2007, he gave lectures on photography for kids in Samsun Gonulluleri Park. 
In 2007, his works were displayed at the "40 Shots Exhibition". 

His first personal exhibition "Kiyilar/Shores " took place at Samsun in December of 2007. 

In 2008, he won the second prize in travel part of National Geographic Turkey Photography Contest. 
On 23 October 2009, his "200 evler / 200 houses" exhibition was opened in Istanbul Taksim Piramid Art gallery under the sponsorship of IFSAK for the Young Photographers Festival. 

In 2009, he was kindly invited to the Sixth Bursa Young Photographers Festival by UFAT as visiting young photographer. 

On 8th of January 2010, his exhibition "200 evler /200 houses"  was opened in Acibadem Bursa Hospital Gallery. 

On 6th of March 2010, his exhibition "Sokagin Dili-Bildigin Istanbul / Language of the Street-Istanbul As You Know It" was opened in the Fototrek Art Gallery in Istanbul. 
Engin Guneysu, continues to work as a freelance photographer and the photography editor of Bosphorus Art Journal.
